2007年京都にて結成。
2008年のデビューEP「Moralist S.S.」では日本人離れしたリアルなNew Wave、Post Punkサウンドを見事なまでに鳴らし、衝撃のデビューを飾る。

Gang of Four, The Fall, Bauhausらオリジナルポストパンク直系のエッジー且つ金属的なギター を核とした不敵なサウンドとニヒルな低音ヴォーカルが特徴。
また80年代のNew Waveアーティストを彷彿とさせる、憂いの中にも垣間みられる刹那的に 美しいメロディーも兼ね備え、そのキラーチューンの数々は圧倒的な存在感を放つ。

2010年にはThe Great Escape、Liverpool Sound Cityといった大規模イベントを含むUKツアー を敢行。2019年には初のアジア公演となる中国ツアーをSold Outを含む大盛況に終える等、 日本国外でもコアな音楽リスナーから支持されている。

2014年には藤井麻輝氏をプロデューサーに迎えたフルアルバム「ROMANTICISM」を発表。 2021年、再び藤井氏とタッグを組んだ待望の新曲「Greatest View」、「Falling」を 2ヶ月連続配信リリース。 一貫したブレの無い美意識、類希な楽曲センスは様々なジャンルのクリエイターからも 高く評価され、日本の新世代New Waveシーンを牽引している。

Lillies and Remains is Japanese New Wave band formed in Kyoto in 2007.
Since the surprising debut in 2008, the band have been giving impact on Japanese music scene as one of most remarkable new wave band of new generation.

Featured agressive metalic guitar, sexy low voice and beautiful synth are very characteristic of the band.
Which means that their songs have two face like, dark and edgy also melodious and romantic.
The sounds remainds you of the original Post Punk / New Wave bands such as...
Depeche Mode, Gang of Four, Killing Joke, Bauhaus, New Order,
The Smiths, DAF etc…

They toured the UK in 2010, And they did the first Asian tour in China include some sold out shows in 2019.
The band is popular among die-hard music fans globally.

In 2014, They released 3rd full album “ROMANTICISM” the album is produced by Japanese Industrial / Body Music Legend Maki Fujii (ex Soft Ballet).
They reunited the team with Maki Fujii in 2021, and release Long-awaited new songs “Greatest View” and “Falling” 2 months in a row.

The consistent aesthetic sense and great musical sense are highly evaluated by creators of various genres.
The band is leading the new generation New Wave scene in Japan.
